I had a wonderful experience this spring at my solo show. Iona College was a fantastic host with a beautiful gallery, enthusiastic people and a food spread that you would die for. I was blown away by the outpouring of support and I have been fortunate enough to have been asked to curate a group exhibition for their opening show this fall. The show will run from September 11th-October 27th.
What I love about this gallery is that they allow for creative freedom. So my first thought when offered to curate was to have a group show. I also wanted to explore something that I have always found fascinating in the visual art world: collaboration.
Basically artists are going to be starting 2 pieces of art and then artists will be finishing 2 pieces of art. So without giving away too many details here are the artists participating in the exhibition:
