Photography Hybrids

This is a project I have wanted to work on for a while.  It all started when my girlfriend Monica bought a sweet Canon camera and started photographing everything within a 1 mile radius of her.  I don’t have any experience with photography but I thought it would be interesting to try and react to such a static image.  The result was an incredibly vibrant piece of art and an experience that I pretty much got addicted to.   You can expect many more in the future.

This is called ‘Portrait 01′.  This is a gloss photograph measuring 32″x47″ and then painted on. Photograph by James Leonzio.  The child in the photograph is an orphan boy in Brazil.
